Mini-Bio

Roy joined Culture Club as the last piece of the musical puzzle: the guitar-and-keyboard wizard who completed their singature sound. He was a hairdresser before joining the band, and despite popular belief, no he did not do George's hair, stating that he was always afraid he'd muck it up! (On a fun note, Roy used to cut Jon's hair, and also was the one who gave Mikey that cool mohawk in the early days of Culture Club!)

He's known for his boyish charm, mischievous grin, and the ability to switch from heartfelt ballads to glittery new wave bops without missing a beat.

I have to note that hearing him and George go back and forth with insults in Shirley Temple Momenta demo session where the boys try to record Victims and start arguing is an ABSOLUTE HOOT. Like, I'm sad my boys are all fighting, but... oh my god, the absurdity of it all is hilarious.

In my AU, Roy is the sunshine that wandered into the band's thunderstorm and refused to leave. He is playful, loving, occasionally chaotic, and deeply protective of the people he cares about.
